Love them - but wish they were made a bit wider!
Incredibly well built shoes. Keen makes superb quality shoes; never disappointed in this regard. Attractively simple upper yet super rugged sole. Fits well length wise. However, these shoes fit really tightly around the cross section of my foot. I felt too much pressure along the top and sides of my mid-foot just, below the ankle, especially when I first tried them on. In my case, it felt so tight that my athletic socks get pulled back hard enough to hurt my toes. I'll either have to wear thinner socks with these shoes or use thinner inserts. I had to use large pasta sauce jars as shoe expanders to keep the old insoles. I bought some thinner high-quality aftermarket insoles after expanding the leather with the jars, and now that the shoes have thinner insoles and have also expanded, I can use normal athletic socks, they're supremely comfortable, and they're my new favorite shoes. I love these.I just wish Keen made these a bit wider out the door from the get-go. It'd literally be a matter of a few centimeters' difference. They fit more like narrow Nike's than neutral New Balances.

Great boot, runs very large
This product fits several sizes large. I think my stepson wears a 12 Nike (in my opinion Nike runs small/narrow). In this boot he wears a 9.5!It was a little fashionable for him, but once he tried on the right size he loved it!

they're not the most supportive shoes, but you can add an athletic insole to increase the amount of cushion and support. If you ordered them online and they're too large, you can buy an athletic insole and put it in the shoe to take up some of the slack. Works like a charm. You might want to go to a real shoe store and try on a few pairs of high top Converse so you can determine what size you wear before buying them online. Chuck Taylor High Tops fit differently than other athletic shoes so you might want to try on a few pairs of low tops and high tops to see what feels best. If your foot runs narrow, and these feel a little too wide, add an athletic insole. If they're too snug, you're gonna have to return them and order up a size because they don't really stretch out. The laces tend to wear out long before the soles do, but that's my experience. And yes, I am in love with add-on athletic shoe inserts to make shoes fit better and to make them more comfortable. I have taken inserts from my Nike running shoes and put them in my Converse when I'm going to be on my feet all day but the best insert you can buy are Run Pro and they're worth every freakin penny. Your mileage may vary.
