Customer Reviews
Kiwi is a lovely color, shoes are so comfortable
Sloggers 260KW08 Women's Premium Clogs are a fantastic pair of shoes for my feet not only for gardening, but for walking in many conditions. I usually wear a size 7.5 shoe, wear a 37 medium in Birkenstocks and the size 8 Sloggers are very fine for me. I likely could also fit into a 7, but because I'd like to wear socks if I desire, I followed the recommendations of others and moved up a size rather than down. Another consideration I had when ordering was that when I work, particularly in the summertime, my feet swell, so I sized up. An advantage of these clogs over many others is that their insoles make for a softer, more cushioned feel and they are removable for cleaning or airing out. I find that wearing these requires no socks in the garden, a huge pro for me since my socks become filthy when I wear Crocs clogs. The Sloggers put the Crocs to shame even though they are heavier. I much prefer the feel and appearance of their real sole rather than a self molded one piece shoe. The black sole is a nice contrast, as is the black interior and the bottom of the sole has a lovely swoosh type design in the Kiwi color. Walking in dirt or mud is not an issue because these shoes can be hosed off. The design of the clogs has a rear which is a bit elevated, so your heel is a little more protected than in other clogs. I've worn Birkenstock shoes for many, many years and now that I've discovered Sloggers, I have an alternate manufacturer to choose from, and these are made in the USA! These are great gardening shoes which are nice enough to wear all day inside or out.
Fantastically comfortable...disappointing lack of durability
Nike has become synonymous with quality footwear. The thought and designing that went into this product attests to that fact. First of all, these flip-flops are fantastically comfortable. The memory foam surface conforms to and supports your foot with unparalleled comfort. For that, this product deserves 5 stars. In addition, the soles are durable and slow little sign of wear. But there's a dark side to these sandals...they don't last.My wife bought a pair of these about 11 months ago and the fabric beneath both of her big toes has already worn through, and the foam is peeling away. The fabric also wore through along the edges of one of the heels. It's not like she wears these year round...we live in Idaho, so flip-flop weather lasts only half of the year...if you are lucky. In our experience, if someone were to wear these consistently, they might see unacceptable levels of wear and tear within 6 months. That is simply not acceptable for a sandal that costs $30-40. I mean, I usually don't spend more than that for shoes! For that these sandals deserve 1 star. The only course left open in terms of rating this product is give it the average of the pluses and minuses and give it 3 stars. We wanted to give it 5, but in our experience it just didn't deserve it, because it just didn't last.
Great Trail shoe, well suited for High Arch, Narrow Feet, Neutral Runner
I have narrow feet and a high arch, so need a shoe that has good arch support, good cushioning and low volume but still roomy toe box that is not too stiff. I've been a Salomon fan and own several older model XA Comps/XA Comps GTX and took that on many trips (from hiking in the desert to trails in Hawaii). I now need replacement shoes since I've killed the old ones. For athletic shoes, I'm usually a 9. For all Salomon, I wear a 9, same for these (I also wear 9 in ASICS, but 9.5 in Nike, Brooks and Puma).I tried on just about every major brand to look for some trail hikers/trail runners and they all fit too wide. I also tried the Salomon XA Mission, which got rave reviews, but the toebox fits extra wide. I also tried the Salomon Crossmax, which had a great arch but fit like a motion control shoe, so my gait felt very stiff and unnatural. The Speedcross 3 purple looks great and the fit is perfect: strong arch support, well cushioned, hugs my narrow feet very well, low volume toebox but still plenty of room to wiggle toes. I also love the speedlaces, easy to use and works great. The tread is very aggressive, which is great for mud and trail. But I will warn that walking on hard surface felt a little weird as I can feel the treads "wiggle" (compress, tweak side-to-side and rebound), it's a low "wiggle" so I don't feel unstable in any way. Not sure how the treads will wear on hard surface over time. The shoe also feels very light for a water resistant shoe, it's not Gortex but Climashield. It's supposed to be breathable but I haven't tested the waterproofness yet, but will testing them soon on the trail. Highly recommend for grass, dirt, any soft surface, trail or muddy/wet conditions.
An in depth review
I will first tell you EVERYTHING that is bad about it, then the good things about it.The bad and ugly - The very first thing you will notice is that it's packaged like a sandwich in this hobo-worthy plastic bag. It's going to be really wrinkly. Yes, you will need to iron it, can't just wear it right away. It's short and the sleeves are short. The area where the sleeves meet the torso is about 1/3rd of the length of the blazer, in addition to only having two buttons, so when you want to raise your arms, the whole thing will move up with you like you're flapping your wings. The Buttons- they're terrible quality buttons, not stylish at all. They make you look cheap. I think this is something to greatly take into consideration.Slits- on the bottom right side of the blazer there are 3 slits, the top one is smaller than the bottom two and only the bottom one is a pocket. The left side just has two slits. One at the bottom to match the right sided pocket and one at the breast for the hanker chief.Quality- the quality on the outside is average and equates to its price. The quality on the inside is very cheap. It will rip very easily, but that may not be a huge concern because it's on the inside after all. The item is made in china and has that "made in china" quality. Why it's still worth buying- Despite all the nit picky bad things about it, it looks great. I mean seriously you're not going to go to a fashion show so no one will scoff at you for ugly buttons. You're probably not going to put your hands in the air like you just don't care, so looking like a flapping bird won't be a big concern. You can hand wash it (DO NOT MACHINE WASH), so taking care of it will be better than getting a dry clean only blazer/ jacket. How you'll look- This shirt is good for going out with friends or on a date. It's casual without being over the top. It's sleek and emphasizes your waist and at the same time broadens your shoulders. Yes, the shoulders are padded. It's a very nice masculine look for the slim guys and at the same time it makes the big brawny guys look buffer. The pocket has a hanker chief stitched into it just like the picture shows. So it makes you look like a well dressed man.Conclusion- This blazer is for the money conscious man who wants to look like a classy stallion, with dull buttons. Seriously, I can't get over how crappy the buttons look.
RIP OFF RETURN POLICY, Sleepshirt thin, pima cotton finish
I never even took the two banana shirts out of their bags (though I had ordered one, was charged for two), and then returned UNOPENED, at MY OWN $15 expense. JUST NOW GOT THE REFUND INFO AND THEY DEDUCTED AN ADDED $7.50 as a 'restocking fee'? When I never even opened the packages, so the shirts were UNTOUCHED?So I just paid $22.50 to open the outer mailing package? RIP OFF, never will buy from Woman Within again! The other things I ordered in the same bundle didn't have restocking fees, but I had tried them on. But not the two banana shirts, which were untouched? I could tell they were too thin just from looking at the package.I will NEVER BUY from Woman Within, again. Unbelievable chutzpah, as bad as Roaman's. Cheap hustling of the customer; make the product look better than it is, then nickel and dime you to death. Basta.Original review follows below.====================This shirt is extremely thin, like a sleepshirt or undershirt; if you have a bra which is seamed across the breast, it will show through. Shirt is 100% cotton (made in Bangladesh), very comfortable, has a kind of pima-cotton finish, drapes well, wrinkles easily, falls below the hips. The colors match the Only Necessities 7-day pants, which I love. Go by the same color name.I'm thinking the shirts would go well under a blazer, with the matching pants, in warmer weather. Yet the thin material, bothers me much. Returned it (more on the return, follows below).NOTE: There are a lot of bad reports about Woman Within cheating customers: just Google. That's a big reason why I didn't buy this directly from them. If in spite of my using Amazon for purchase I get cheated too, I'll downgrade this review to one star, and report the type of cheating I received. For I am returning the sage item EXACTLY as received, only tried it on for five minutes to assess quality and fit. I had ordered three of these shirts (1 sage, 2 banana, meant to only order one each, but three came, didn't even open the banana tops); and, the pull-on elastic pants (see my review of the same date for those). Cost me $15 to return them all by priority mail. Pricey experiment: I won't repeat that mistake.
Love it
