I had read some of the history of this company. A man recoverying from an accident thought that putting in air pockets in the souls would help him recover better. I had just purchaced these because of their style and look and then I had accident (didn't see that coming). As soon as I was starting to get off crutches these really helped. They are very comfortable and look even better with dress clothes, I get a lot of compliments about them, more than I ever got with fancy dress shoes!!!!!!

Dr. Martens are notorious for requiring breaking in.
It has been my experience that this brand of shoe requires a bit of stretching and breaking in. I normally wear a size 10 so that is what I order from this company. A size 11 is too big for me. If only they would make half sizes! Once I got these shoes stretched out a bit and broken in, they are comfortable. Most comfortable shoe? No, but comfortable.
Dr Martens are worth it!
My boots are comfortable and when I travel for work they pair well with trousers or a pair of jeans.
